Potion No. 9 (4% ABV)

pzpotionpcA light, golden, hoppy session bitter, the permanent stable-mate on the Star bar to Crowlas Bitter. The ninth brew from the pub’s brewery, hence the name. Fuggles and Pilgrim go into the boil with pale ale malt, with Perle and Amarillo hop added later.

  1. Dear Pete Elvin, hello mate, I’m coming down to Cornwall for a weeks holiday in May, do you sell poly-pins of your ales to take away? Lofty.

  2. Had a pint of this today at a mini beer at the Coach and Horses in Derby. Nice drink and good to see such a rare ale making its way so far north!!!!!

  3. Tried it in Crowlas last week in Cornwall and tonight had 4 pints with Norman garlick at a function in Stithians. Excellent superb bitter with loads of flavour.

  4. Just had a taste of this beer in a Northern Pub near Chorley Lancs.
I enjoyed it very much. Long may it stay as a guest beer.
